Full-time MBA rankings

Candidates often refer to business school rankings as an objective criterion to select their schools. But it’s important to remember that programs move upwards or downwards within the same publication’s rankings from year to year. The ranking of the program when you start may not be the same as when you graduate.

To further complicate maters, several reputed publications release their own rankings of business schools and MBA programs. So which one is the most reliable and valid? One professor’s research says U.S. News & World Report. She also found that every rank improvement on U.S. News yielded an additional $908.03 on average for the school’s graduates in their first post-MBA job, significantly more than BusinessWeek‘s $605.27 or The Financial Times‘ $377.58
