The European 7 (E7)

The E7 is the most informal elite business schools group and E7 stands more as a classification than as a network. Those are Europe’s most Elite MBA programs. Over the last few years, we have seen a sharp increase of applicants integrating some of those E7 into their list of programs. With the US becoming less attractive (mostly because of the H1B situation), European programs are becoming a force to reckon with.

INSEAD
INSEAD has produced 9 CEOs leading a FT500 companies, making it the second most powerful business school after Harvard and its alumni have raised US$10B+ in VC funding (world’s #5 most powerful). No other school places more in Consulting than INSEAD with 52% going into the industry (McKinsey, BCG and Bain hire close to 25% of the INSEAD class every year).

LONDON BUSINESS SCHOOL
LBS is a powerhouse in the MBA world and its premier location in London makes it a prime choice for many MBA candidates looking at entering Consulting, Finance or Tech (LBS has one of the most advanced curriculum in FinTech). With the option to graduate in 15, 18 or 21 months, LBS offers a highly flexible and customisable MBA experience.

HEC PARIS
France’s most elite business school, HEC Paris is one of the most powerful European business schools and increasingly attracts top MBA candidates. Its innovative curriculum developed with Bain offers a holistic and highly customisable experience, allowing its graduate to be highly sought on the job market.

IESE BUSINESS SCHOOL
IESE formed an alliance with Harvard Business School in 1963 and launched the first two-year MBA program in Europe. The IESE faculty loves the case study method and you will go through 600+ during your MBA (200 more than at HBS). With a strong and well balanced placement in Consulting, Finance and Tech, IESE is a prime choice for MBA applicants.

IMD BUSINESS SCHOOL
The world’s smallest Elite MBA with 90 students a year, IMD is known to seek more experienced MBA candidates and its recruitment process is the most comprehensive in the world. IMD is mostly known to be the best business school for people looking at a career in non-service industries.

OXFORD SAÏD BUSINESS SCHOOL
Younger than most of its peers, Saïd Business School is one of the leading schools globally in Social Impact. Oxford’s career placement but applicants interested into joining a leading Consulting firm may skip the school (though it is positively changing YoY).

CAMBRIDGE JUDGE BUSINESS SCHOOL
The School is considered to be particularly strong in entrepreneurship and innovation management, with its own accelerator and close ties with Cambridge Enterprise, the university’s technology transfer office, as well as with the local high-tech cluster known as the Silicon Fen.
